3Q25: Beat on ECL; TP raised

TIDLOR’s 3Q25 beat expectations on lower-than-expected ECL with better asset quality, weak loan growth, larger NIM, good non-NII and rising cost to income ratio. We maintain our Neutral rating but raise TP to Bt23 from Bt22 to factor in an upward revision in earnings (mainly on ECL). We believe that it is trading at an unattractive at 1.5x PEG for 2026F on an expected deceleration in earnings growth to 7% in 2026F.

3Q25 results beat expectations on ECL. TIDLOR’s 3Q25 earnings rose 8% QoQ and 43% YoY to Bt1.42bn, above INVX by 7% and consensus by 8%, largely due to lower ECL than expected. Earnings reflected: 1) weak loan growth of 1% QoQ and 4% YoY, 2) NIM up 38 bps QoQ from a 36 bps rise in loan yield and a 1 bps QoQ slip in cost of funds, 3) credit cost down 43 bps QoQ with a 13 bps ease in NPL ratio,
3) non-NII (mainly insurance brokerage income) up 2% QoQ (+15% YoY) and 4) cost to income ratio up 81 bps QoQ (+39 bps YoY) on seasonality.

Raise earnings forecast and expect a QoQ fall in 4Q25. We raise our earnings forecast by 6% in 2025F and 4% in 2026F as we fine-tune credit cost to line up with results. We expect 4Q25F earnings to fall QoQ (higher ECL and opex) but rise YoY (higher NII). We expect earnings growth to brake from 25% in 2025F to 7% in 2026F because of no further reduction in credit cost as we look for no further recovery in used car prices plus continued unexciting loan growth and insurance brokerage income growth.

Credit cost at risk ahead. We see risk to our 2026F credit cost (stable at 2.85%) as we expect the end of the You Fight, We Help program in September to halt further recovery in and even bring a possible drop in used car prices on resumption of a rise in supply of used cars. We expect credit cost to rise QoQ (down YoY) in 4Q25 and be stable in 2026 due to a weaker macro backdrop and no further recovery in used car prices. With the highest exposure to car title loans at ~60% and the highest LTV among the three major operators, TIDLOR normally is impacted the most by a change in used car prices.

Unexciting loan growth. TIDLOR cut its 2025F loan growth target to 5% from 6% to fine tune with the 3Q25 results. We maintain our 2026F loan growth at 6%, well below its 19% CAGR growth over 2018-2023. Its tighter credit policy on LTV has led to smaller ticket size and thus unexciting loan growth.

Rising NIM. We expect a cut in the policy rate of 25 bps in December and 50 bps in 2026, which should be a share price catalyst. Its cost of funds is expected to continued falling in 2026. We expect NIM to rise 16 bps in 2026.

Moderate non-NII growth. We maintain our expectation of a slowing in non-NII growth from 11% in 2024 to 8% in 2025 and 6% in 2026 off a base effect, mainly on insurance brokerage income, though we expect this to rise seasonally in 4Q25.

Maintain Neutral with TP hiked. We maintain our Neutral rating in response to the unattractive valuation at 1.5x PEG for 2026F on expectation of a deceleration in earnings growth to 7% in 2026. However, we raise TP to Bt23 (based on 1.75x PBV and 12x PE for 2026) from Bt22 to factor in an upward revision in earnings.

Key risks: Key risks: 1) Asset quality risk from an economic slowdown with trade war risk, 2) credit cost risk from falling used vehicle prices, 3) rising competition from banks, 4) regulatory risk and 5) ESG risk from market conduct.
